Representative McDermott and Resolution Recognizing National Foster Care Month

Representative McDermott makes floor speech in recognition of National Foster Care Month.  Earlier in the day, the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support held a hearing to study challenges faced by child welfare agencies. 

According to Representative McDermott's statement, the hearing identified a number of areas that need to be improved to strengthen children and families, and highlighted the commitment of foster parents.
